Hi there, I’m Brittie Crawford, a Childcare Business Consultant with over 15 years of experience owning and operating successful home daycare and preschool businesses. I created my consulting business to help other providers and owners navigate the ups and downs of the childcare industry, whether they’re starting a new home daycare or preschool center or looking to expand their current business.

As many of us in the childcare business know, it can be an isolating experience. We’re often at the top of our organizations, making important decisions and dealing with the daily challenges of running a business. But there are also highs – moments when our businesses are thriving and our children, families, and staff are happy. However, we often brace ourselves for the lows, knowing that they can be just around the corner.

As a current center owner-operator, I know how easy it is to feel like a cog in the wheel of your own business, unable to take a break or pursue other interests because all systems and processes depend on you. But I’ve also learned that there are ways to soften the lows and make the highs last longer.
